Baldwin County Humane Society is the only no-kill adoption agency serving all of Baldwin County, Alabama. We are not a shelter, but rescue pets from shelters and the streets. We depend on volunteers, veternarians and kennels to provide foster care house our homeless pets. We also offer reduce cost spay/neuter vouchers for residents of Baldwin County.
History
Founded on July 16th, 1979, Baldwin County Humane Society has been rescuing homeless pets ever since. We are a 501c3, not for profit corporation. We receive no government funding of any kind and depend soley on grants and donations to carry out our work. Our Mission is: 1. Rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing abused, abandoned and neglected pets. 2. Eliminating euthanasia as a means of pet population control through aggressive support and advocacy of the spaying and neutering of all dogs and cats. 3. Advocating the humane treatment of all animals throughout our state, our county and the individual communities in which we live.
