Auburn Fire Division is a part of the Public Safety Department, which is administered by the government of the city of Auburn in Alabama. Auburn Fire Division is responsible for the suppression of fire and the prevention of life and property losses as a result of fires. The division provides rescue services, as well as operates various fire stations. It also offers a prefire program that features the inspection of existing buildings and the familiarization of firefighters with the floor plan and potential hazards. The division conducts fire drills at area schools and university dorms and fraternities. In addition, Auburn Fire Division issues residential burn permits and provides hydrant testing services.
