Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association is a statewide trade organization that assists members of hospitals in serving the health care needs of patients through advocacy, representation, education and service. The members of the association primarily include hospitals and health systems, as well as other companies and organizations related to the health care industry. It also provides a directory that includes general information about all hospitals in the state. Alabama Hospital Association is affiliated with Auxiliaries, Alabama Council of Hospital, Compliance Officers of Alabama Healthcare, Education and Training, Alabama Society for Healthcare and Public Relations & Marketing Society, and Alabama Healthcare.
