In operation since 1895, Alabama Federation of Women's Club is a statewide organization which works for the improvement of the community through volunteer services. Located in Birmingham, Ala., the organization offers a series of services, such as promoting education preserving natural resources, stressing good citizenship, domestic violence, literacy and safety. It also works for moral/spiritual understanding and supporting participation in the arts. The club operates through arts, home life, conservation, international affairs, education and public affairs departments. Alabama Federation of Women's Club is associated with the American Heart Association.
