Excellance Inc
Excellance, a respected manufacturer of emergency vehicles, custom-builds all vehicles precisely to customer specifications. The company builds type I and type III ambulances, but not type II. These modular ambulances are produced by attaching a welded, all-aluminum, box-type patient compartment to either a dual rear-wheel cab chassis (a type I ambulance) or a dual rear-wheel, van-type cutaway chassis (a type II). Excellance's customer base includes those to whom money is no object (such as the royal family of Saudi Arabia), as well as those that can afford no more than one vehicle, but they want the best value for their limited budgets (such as volunteer organizations). Excellance has also supplied more than 150 units to Acadian Ambulance in Louisiana, one of the largest private service providers in the United States. The company was founded in 1975 by George F. Epps, Dot Humphrey, and Zeb Overstreet
