HistoryFrom its beginning as a violin program in the basement of founder and Executive Director Mark Mutter, SRO has expanded to include 10 teachers and instruction in 5 instruments. Electives are available for music theory and chamber music, and our tour group has performed all over the world, including a April 2018 repeat engagement at Carnegie Hall.SpecialtiesSuzuki Royal Oak is Metro Detroit's preeminent music school. For over 25 years, this community non-profit has nurtured students through the Suzuki Method of music instruction. Private lessons and group classes are offered year-round for ages 3 - adult in violin, viola, cello, classical guitar and piano.
