Explore – Discover – Learn! That’s what Burlington Public Library is all about. The Library belongs to everyone in the community and is free to join if you live, work, or go to school in Burlington. Central branch is the largest location and houses historical and special collections, children's discovery play area, a community makerspace, computer lab, and an indoor aquaponics garden - plus 3 floors of books, movies, music and more. There are seven library branches citywide: six full-service branches (Aldershot, Alton, Brant Hills, Central, New Appleby, Tansley Woods) and a small lending collection serving the rural hamlet of Kilbride. Library service began in Burlington in January 1872.
