Colpitts Ranches, located in the Elbow River Valley on the west side of Calgary, has a rich history dating back to 1921 when it was established by James Colpitts. Originally a silver fox farm, it later transitioned into a renowned dairy farm producing over a million litres of milk yearly from registered Holsteins.
Since 2009, Colpitts Ranches has focused on grass and legume forage for horses and cattle, as well as growing annual crops such as barley, wheat, peas, and canola. Owned and operated by the Zink family, the ranch continues to provide a picturesque setting for Angus crossbred cattle to graze in what is described as "cow paradise."
